Welcome to BOLOB ("One Task A Day"). By using our application, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Service Description

BOLOB is a task accountability application that helps users complete daily tasks through financial commitment. Users select a subscription tier that determines how many tasks they can commit to each day.

2. Subscription Terms

Tier 1: $9.99/month - 1 task per day
Tier 2: $19.99/month - 2 tasks per day
Tier 3: $29.99/month - 3 tasks per day

Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically until canceled. You may cancel anytime through your account settings or the Stripe customer portal.

3. Penalty System

IMPORTANT: By using BOLOB, you agree to the penalty system. If you fail to complete a task and submit proof before your deadline:

A 5-minute grace period applies after the deadline
After the grace period, penalties begin at $5.00 per hour
Penalties are capped at $25.00 per day maximum
Penalties are charged automatically to your payment method on file

You acknowledge that these penalty charges are not refundable and are a core feature of the service designed to help you achieve your goals.

4. Proof Submission

To mark a task as complete, you must submit proof (photo and/or note) before your deadline. We reserve the right to review submissions and determine if they constitute valid proof of task completion.

5. Refund Policy

Subscription fees: Refundable within 7 days of initial purchase if no tasks have been created
Penalty charges: Non-refundable except in cases of technical error on our part
Partial months: No prorated refunds for mid-cycle cancellations

To request a refund, contact us at support@bolob.app with your account email and reason for refund.

6. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

Violate these Terms of Service
Engage in fraudulent activity
Dispute legitimate penalty charges with your bank
Abuse the proof submission system

You may delete your account at any time. Account deletion cancels your subscription but does not refund previous charges.

7. Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full credit card information. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method for subscription fees and any applicable penalty charges.

8. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

Maintaining the security of your account credentials
Setting realistic task deadlines
Ensuring you have a valid payment method on file
Understanding that penalty charges will apply for incomplete tasks

9. Limitation of Liability

BOLOB is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in subscription fees in the past 12 months.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email.
